Before You Install

Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements below. For the best experience, we recommend the recommended specifications.

Installation Instructions

Step 1: Download the Installer

Get the latest Windows installer

Download the PJais installer for Windows (.exe file):

File size: ~52 MB | Version: 1.0.0

Step 2: Run the Installer

Install PJais on your system

Locate the downloaded PJais-Setup-1.0.0.exe file
Double-click the installer to launch it
If prompted by Windows Defender SmartScreen, click "More info" then "Run anyway"
Follow the installation wizard:
- Accept the license agreement
- Choose installation location (default recommended)
- Select whether to create desktop shortcut
- Click "Install"
Wait for the installation to complete (usually 1-2 minutes)
Click "Finish" to launch PJais

Step 3: First Launch

Set up PJais for the first time

When you first launch PJais:

The app will open and show the welcome screen
You'll be prompted to create your first persona (optional)
Configure your privacy preferences
Start using PJais!

Installation Complete!

Troubleshooting Windows Installation

Windows Defender blocks the installer

Click "More info" on the SmartScreen warning, then click "Run anyway". PJais is safe and open-source.

Installation fails

Make sure you have administrator privileges and enough disk space. Try running the installer as administrator.

App won't launch

Check that your Windows version is 10 or later. Restart your computer and try again.

Do I need an internet connection to install PJais?

You need an internet connection to download the installer, but PJais can run completely offline once installed. All AI processing happens locally on your device.

How much disk space does PJais require?

The initial installation requires about 500MB. Additional space will be needed for your personas, conversations, and memory data. We recommend having at least 2GB of free space.

Can I install PJais on multiple computers?

Yes! PJais is free to install on as many devices as you like. With a Pro subscription, you can sync your personas and data across all your devices using cloud sync.

How do I update PJais?

PJais will notify you when updates are available. You can download and install updates directly from within the app, or download the latest version from our website.

Is PJais safe to install?

Yes! PJais is open-source and privacy-first. All your data stays on your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync. The app is code-signed and safe to install.
